Fruit gallery

Colourful range of diverse fruit. Gulab khaas, a variety of mango from eastern India Loquat (Eriobotrya japonica) Mangoes at a local market in Bihar, typically bought in quantities of 1,000 units. Wide array of fruit diversity which offer a broad spectrum of essential vitamins and minerals, contributing to well-rounded nutritional coverage. Pomegranate (Punica granatum) fruit on trees which are well suited to arid and semi-arid regions and can withstand adverse climatic conditions. Red sugar apple (Annona squamosa) a moderately drought-tolerant fruit tree. Dragon fruit (Selenicereus undatus) a therapeutic fruit rich in calcium, magnesium and potassium. Papaya (Carica Papaya), a tropical fruit with proteolytic enzymes like papain and chymopapain which have anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. Fresh pomegranate (Punica granatum) hand picked for sale at a market. Diverse local indigenous fruits for sale at a market. Jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) is a native Indian fruit used as both a vegetable (when raw) and a fruit (when ripe). Kokum (Garcinia indica) fruits generally popular for their anti-obesity qualities.
